The Robert F. Kennedy Learning Center is a K-12 school complex for 4,200 students and is
located at the site of the former Ambassador Hotel. This renowned Los Angeles hotel was the
site of numerous Academy Awards events and the 1968 assassination of Robert F. Kennedy,
and a portion of it is incorporated into the new campus design. The site concrete
improvements include large areas of hand-seeded green glass and black volcanic obsidian
aggregates. Marne Construction also constructed all of the site concrete retaining walls, most
of the cast concrete steps and an abundance of conventional concrete paving.
